Pouring Rain in Provo

I completed this piece a few years ago in Provo Utah at the Shops at Riverwood Chalk It Up Festival at age seventeen. The whole piece was 9 feet by 14 feet, (a whole parking stall) and took me 24 hours over three days. Provo is notorious for random rain out of nowhere around this time in September so the festival is frequently moved around and cancelled. To me, rain is just an obstacle we all have to deal with, it’s part of the game. So sure enough, we had a complete downpour in the middle of the second day! Borderline flooding art, all I had was a little canopy and my great grandparents to help protect the piece. All in all it was an amazing experience and a fun festival!
