Tempe Arts Festival, 2022

March 25th-March 27th, 2022

The Tempe Arts Festival was one of the most incredible and beautiful experiences. Artists of all backgrounds and specialties came from all around to share their beautiful talents.

It was incredible to be surrounded by such love, openness and genuine people. I made so many incredible friends who I hope to maintain in contact with as our lives go on.

I’m learning you meet people in the most unlikely spaces. Talk to everyone, do everything, see everything. Experience is far more valuable than any tangible possession, than any amount of money.

This weekend came with especially challenging circumstances. I was nearly about to call off this festival and stay home. Chalk is what makes me most happy and often distracts me from any ailment or pain of life. It was a good move to attend and make my heart happy.

My square size was roughly eight by ten feet, it took me close to twenty hours over two days. The people of Tempe were so very kind and accepting of me. The arts market was so very large with so many different vendors from all around. I made incredible friends with so many of them and was able to exchange crafts and ideas.

As per usual, despite every challenge endured this weekend, chalk makes me the happiest. These events constantly propel me to keep pursuing the dream life I couldn’t even fathom. Focus on the good and the good gets better.

Thank you Ruth Emuoboghare for allowing me to chalk you, you’re beautiful!
